Nope, Camera Club is a free online club.

 

Does Camera Club have regular meetings?

Nope, Camera Club is purely an online club.

 

Can anybody join Camera Club?

Camera Club is open to all South Africans who have an interest in photography. Signing up is free and only takes a minute.

 

How can my photo become a Pic of the Day?

Our daily photos are selected from the entries to our photo competitions, so that's the place to start.

 

Where are my photos that I submitted to the competitions? I did a search but they were not found.

We don't have space to display all photos that are submitted, so we select some as Pics of the Day. Our search function only searches through photos that have been used as Pics of the Day.

 

Will you let me know if one of my photos is used as a Pic of the Day?

That's up to you. After logging in, click "my settings" at the top of the page and tick the "notify" box to receive an e-mail whenever one of your photos appears as a Pic of the Day.

 

Can anybody enter Camera Club's competitions?

Our competitions are open to all our members. If you are not yet a member, click here to sign up. It's free and only takes a minute.

 

Who funds Camera Club's competitions and other operating costs?

At present our competitions are privately funded by Camera Club's owners and by donations. Click here if you would like to contribute towards Camera Club or if you would like to become a sponsor. Any contributions will be gratefully received.

 

What competitions does Camera Club have?

We run 2 competitions, a monthly "open" competition and a bi-monthly "theme" competition. Details can be found on our competition page.

 

What size must my images be for the competitions?

Full details can be found on our competition rules page, but in summary we accept images up to 1,600x1,200 pixels in size.

 

How can I resize my images if they are too large?

Most digital cameras come with software that can resize your images and there are many software programs on the Internet too. And please remember not to save over your original files!
